Security light stays on all the time. 1999 Silverado 1500 ext cad with 3rd door (new body style)

My security light stays on. I am going to list stuff thats not working and stuff that is.
First off here's what is not working. I have no horn,no courtesy lights,no cargo light,tow/haul button doesn't light up on dash,no glove box light,no hood light, ebrake light doesn't stay lit when engaged,no door chime, key fob doesn't work, and I think thats it on that.
Here's what does work. Mirror compass works, signals work, flashers work, cruise works, headlights work, high beams work, dash illuminates, radio works, lighter and power outlets work, power windows work, power locks work, power mirrors work, truck starts up after I charge the battery due to security light stays on,light on my topper works, light bar under my tailgate works, plate lights work, illumination on the controls for lights and the temp controls work, illumination on the airbag shutoff switch works.and I think I covered it all. Could a relay or two be blown? These trucks all the way up to 2006 have a common problem with leaks on the driverside front. I believe that caused a short in a relay or two. This just happened this month I believe, but only one other time I had the problem with the security light coming on I think it was at the end of last month. Prior to that I had never had any problems. Its a great truck. I want to get this fixed and was hoping somebody might know the culprit. Thanks

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5feL05TyLtI I had the same problem in my 03 Silverado and this helped me out.
My security light is the message center screen. The screen is for check engine, change oil, and etc. They security light due to it stays onall the time drains my battery. Of course my battery was dead so I had to hook in instant starter to it. I let it run a little bit. I shut the truck off and turned the key to power. the message center said security then switches to battery. So I let that do it for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes it still went back and fourth from security to battery. My battery went dead cause of that. Would the security staying on cause me to have no horn and the other stuff that I listed to not work? That battery I bought in November. The battery is good. Its just not fully charged since it keeps getting drained due to the security light staying on. Thanks!

Identical problem I had with my 03. If you can get your battery fully charged, I'm positive resetting the security will work. I hope you get it worked out and let me know how it turns out.
Thanks! When it gets light out I am going to put the charger on it and let in charge all day or till it says charged. Then I will try this again. I'll let you know. Again thanks!
I think I narrowed it down a bit. I fully charged my battery and I do have a horn. Here's what I noticed I was having trouble with. Security light stays on even with truck off,tow haul bottun doesn't illuminate on the instrument panel, key fob doesn't work, and I pressed the lock unlock button on the driver door and it doesn't unlock or lock the driver door. When I pressed the switch I noticed the manual unlock/lock on the passanger door moved back and fourth, but not the driver door. I heard it working in the door, but the manual switch didn't move. I replaced that switch in the past I believe. I did cleaned the copper lube on the passenger door and sprayed ballistol on the clips holding the rods and replaced the actuator on that passenger door. I think the reason the security light is on and why my key fob doesn't work might have something to do with the driver door lock. I don't know. With the security light on my truck starts up and runs with no problem. The ebrake light I believe would stay on when the ebrake is engaged. Now since the security light stays on the ebrake light comes on after truck starts then goes out. Here's what works. I have lights, horn, radio, power outlets,cruise,signals,flashers,low/high beams, plate light, topper light, dash illuminates, everything that's supposed to illuminate on the dash works, mirrors work, windows work, compass on mirror works, and I believe running lights work. Here's what doesn't, Tow/haul don't light,no courtesy lights,no glove box light, driver door doesn't lock or unlock, but I hear it working. The copper grease in the white clips probably is too hard and needs cleaned and lubed, key fob doesn't work,no cargo light, and the light under the hood doesn't come on. The hood lights you usually have to flip to engage. Pretty much everything works except the few items I mentioned.
I apologize for bad spelling. I was typing this fast and don't care to proof read. The driver door will unlock with the key and lock with it. The driver door will also loch with the button on the driver door. It just wont unlock. The manual switch on the driver door doesn't move, but will unlock/lock with you use that feature.
*correction* The manual switch on the driver door doesn't move, but will unlock/lock when you use that feature.

Terry, did you ever get this problem resolved? I have nearly the exact same issues as you describe.
Check the air bag module under drivers seat under the carpet. Water damage caused ground to short and no start and lights staying on after key out
