Upgrade or retrofit wheel hub / bearing assembly

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
This is a 2001 Chevy C1500. I run large tires which cause my hub assemblies to go bad frequently. I noticed that on the 3/4 & 1 ton and 4x4 models, the hubs look more heavy duty. will any of these fit on my truck? I noticed that there may be an ABS wiring issue. I am not concerned with a different lug pattern.

No they are not going to fit. Your hub assembly has 3 bolts to hold it in, the heavy duty hub assembly has 4 bolts holding the hub assembly. You would have to change out the front and rear-ends from a Crew Cab that has 9900 lb. gross vehicle weight to get the heavy duty bearings.
You would have to swap the entire axle assembly to get the heavy duty hubs and bearings. If you are running wheels or spacers with a lot of offset then that is probably the problem.
Will the hub assembly from a 2 wheel drive 1999 to 2002 chevrolet Silverado go on to a four wheel drive 99 to 2006. Supposedly from 1999 to 2002 they all had the same hub assembly with splines for four- wheel drive in the two wheel drives they were just capped off in the back?
I need bearing and assembly for 1999 sliverado 4x4 5.3 engine
