Asked by Allen May 02, 2019 at 07:00 AM about the 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

this it's kinda long request and kinda story
about the way I am with my stuff so u can
see why I'm blowed away why it misses
sometimes... 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 4.3
I blowed my engine so I did some research
on the parts I had left in my garage from
other truck i knew I had a good 1995 (4.3 )
out of Chevy 1500 I pulled it out of the truck
just to put a V8 in I knew the top end of the
95 would not wire up with the 2001 wiring
harness and I didn't want change it so after
Some research I found out I can take my 95
bottom end and bolt the top end of 2001
use like that yes I had problems I had
change few things here and there but it fired
up no problem I've been driving it over 2
years now bad thing is On a nice day it runs
like should but on rainy days not so warm it
will miss and cut out
I've changed mass flow sensor  i don't know
if I got bad part and don't know if can be
check see if good .. let me know..
I blowed out the  EGR valve that all
I did change plugs and  wires
Put new distributor cap and rotary button .. I
had problem with one my screws in the cap
but it feels like it's good and tight
I have 2 Chevy trucks  (1995 and 2001)
95 Chevy 1500 was born a  v6 but I had to
have a 327.. it's 5speed  is lowered right and
has so much more I've added over past
14years I have over 20,000 in my toy (it's my
keeper for life)..
(FOR SALE) ..2001 Chevy Silverado has
4.3L  has 1995 bottom end and 2001 top
end.. both was good parts I had put up..
22in wheals ..pearl White paint with candy
blue flames they did good job on them
cowl Hood
It's had customizing done inside and outside
the truck  I'd say the work on the truck was
done maybe 10 years ago or around that
give or take I'm not sure I've owned it around
5 years I think over all its a nice truck but
bad of it is The other owner of the truck had
a deer hit him on passenger side some
plastic around the grill got chipped little and
the door and finder got some dents in it
from the deer truck was going 50 plus and
deer come running full speed out of the
woods and hit the truck could have hurt
more
(FOR SALE)1994 Jeep Wrangler 4x4
5speed four cylinder
soft top it lifted 3 or 4 inch
15inch rims with new 35inch tires few
months old maybe less than 100 miles on
them..
I have some 38inch tires that was on the
Jeep they are good for use just wanted Jeep
set lower so ride better..
