I have a 2003 Chevy Silverado and the battery not charging light blinks even though I have replaced the alternator and have had all tested and works fine,I also realized my radio no longer cuts off automatically when I shut off and open the door. Is the PCU bad

Try this. It should reset the ECU. Disconnect the battery for about a half hour. It's worth a shot.

Make sure ALL of your connections are clean and tight at the battery and alternator. That none of the wires are nicked, cut, corroded, melted or broken. As far as the radio not turning off when you open the door, does the dome light come on when you open the drivers door? Will the radio turn off when the passenger door is opened?

Yes the dome light and everything else is good and no the radio has to be shut down manualy now. Also now I see at idle that the

wow I see at idle that the motor bogs down and the volts go to 11-12 just for 1-2secs every 6-9 mins.

Sounds like the new alternator is no good. If you got it at Autozone or someplace similar they are usually not very good. However even a good brand can be bad out of the box from time to time. Go have the alternator and battery tested at an Autozone for free.

My avalanche 2003 has the bateri no charging I change the baterie and the alternator,clean all grounds but still the light is blinking please help me with it Thank you
