2003 Chevy Silverado 1500 with the 5.3l vortec engine. lunging and jerking while driving gets worse as you accelerate. just replaced the tps on it and it started doing this right after.

check the coil packs resistance (in OHMS) from hot to ground...each to see if one has a reading of Zero that might be the bad coil pack...the coil packs may have not a good ground connection....check the 1/0 cable from battery to engine block...wirebrush it clean~

crank sensor and cam sensor are both delicate affairs as they depend on "field effect" .....basically one half a transistor...they can go bad and are delicate...still am wondering why they make them different from one another when they do the same job....weird~

tend to think these things would signal a Check Engine Light...flashing if critical....use a handheld trouble code reader to read...then RESET the codes~
