Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hey guys. I have a 03 silvirado and I've been having
problems with it. Yesterday I was running around in
town and on one of my stops I was at a body shop.
Everything running fine. I watch the body guy get in
my truck and fire it up and he can't keep it running
and it barely made it 50 feet before dying.  I've
always had two codes P0137 02 sensor bank 2
related and P0430 also 02 sensor bank 2 related.
Never had any problems with them so maybe they
aren't my problem but it would start and have a
rough idle I could keep it going with the throttle for
a bit I wouldn't go over 2500 rpm by mashing the
throttle but if you played with it it would go higher.
Then the truck would just die. Also if you unplug the
mass air flow sensor. It would start and run fine till
you plug it back in. Both bank 2 sensors are
replaced so is the mass air flow.

Come outside after sitting for a day and the truck has been idling for a few minutes now without a hiccup.

Almost sounds like you may have a fuel pump starting to go bad. What you need to do is have a fuel pressure tester hooked up to it when it is running poorly. I believe you should have somewhere around 60psi when running. I can remember one that only had around 50psi and did the same thing you have described. Fuel pressure is very critical to the Chevy trucks
