Truck won't stay running

My truck will start and when I give a little gas it
stays running but when I let off the pedal it shakes
and then dies. A few people say it's the fuel pump
but if it not what else could it be?

It could be the pump best way would be to test the pressure. You could have a clogged gas filter. You could also have clogged injectors. When was the last time you did a full tune up, plugs, wires..
as said above...check fuel pressure/filter > http://www.agcoauto.com/content/news/p2_articleid/280
It was a couple months ago, I changed the spark plugs, spark plug wires, fuel filter, rotor and distributor cap.
My 2000 chevy Silverado dud the same thing. I could drive it and it would randomly die. Try crank shaft position censor.
