worked for GM for 10 years now and never heard of it
I too have a 2005 Chevy Silverado 1500 SSC Z71. I didn't know what it mean. My truck came with dual climate control, automatic 2 way air bags, 20" chrome wheels and low profile tires, 2" factory lowerd stance, tow package, fog lights, the optional higher output 5.3 H/O FLEX FUEL with 323+ hp. a Posi-traction rear end and 3.42 gears with the Auto Trac 4wd. So it is considered a SUPER SPORT CLONE without the AWD and the 6.0L
also mine came with full stainless steel dual exhaust aswell
there are a handful of them out there, and many techs haven't worked on them. I bought mine at a dealer that was repo'd. nice truck, but i would watch the rear end.. They dont like to get beat on
I have one, they did not make the SS in 2005 so the dealership asked chevy to come out with a package for the customers. SSC stands for Super Sport Concept.
i was wondering if u guys could help... i think i have one and the dealer took the emblemsoff and the 20in rims off it before i bought it and replaced them with the stock 17in. my door sticker says it came stock with 20's and it has the stainless 3" exhaust from the factory. also its fully loaded and definatly has a posi rear like i keep reading about.
check factory code sticker (in glove box? ) it will show SSC as option code if the truck came with that option not there truck doesn't have it or it doesn't exist as an option, it is something else?
