if i change just the brakes pds in a chevy 05' 1500 siverado, do i vave to reset de computer ?

the engine doesn't star after replaced just the brake pads and the check engine light appear at the dash board !!! Do I have to reset the computer ??

if it is telling you "do brake service" then YES....otherwise add the meat and forget~

your check engine light could be any number of concerns...first off some one filled the tank BEYOND the first click...filling the charcoal canister...snufflin' it is a no-no and WILL toss up a CEL~ reset your trouble codes with a cheap obdII scanner that invites you to "reset the codes" after reading them~

Back when I was a mechanic in the early '90s we'd simply undo the bleeder...and push the caliper back...fluid would squirt out....cheating but quick~

if you were squealin' definitely have the rotors machined or replaced~
