Why is my mustang dead?

Asked by Guru9LN63 Feb 20, 2019 at 09:36 PM about the 2006 Ford Mustang GT Premium RWD

Question type: Car Customization

CAR: 2006 Mustang GT
UPGRADES:
BBK headers
Mutha Thumpr cams / limiter kit
ISSUE:
After having the cams installed, my mustang got an 87 and 93 tune from
BAMA. The car will not turn start. I have no idea what the hell it could be. The
alternator is fine, the battery is brand new, I just changed the oil, spark plugs
are all new. When you put the key in and try to turn it on, you can hear it trying
to turn over and the cams "popping" but the car can't come to an idle.

Sounds like it's not in time, you could try resetting the sprockets for the timing chain

I just changed the oil and took a look at the throttle body. The oil was chocolate milk looking. Meaning it was one, nasty and two, had like neon yellow specs and bubbles. Came to realize... It had coolant in it but I still don't know what it could be. Also, the throttle body shot out white smoke, I'm assuming that it's also coolant. Could it be the head gasket?

I have the exact same setup and same problem right now and assume it's the heads lifting up off the block due to the torque to yield stretch type head bolts. Did you ever come to a conclusion with yours? If it's the head bolts you can switch to arp bolts which is my plan - but they're like $400. That's a lot for bolts!
