getting rid of my catyletic converters

Question type: Car Customization

I was wanting to get rid of my
catyletic converters on my car
because where I live we do not have
DEQ to worry about. I am planning
on buying an aftermarket H pipe and
an SLP loudmouth axel back exhaust
kit. By doing this does that get rid of
my cats? And if so will that set off my
check engine light?

Ok great thank you tom! But will that keep setting off my check engine light even if I clear the code? B/c I will be missing 2 02 sensors right? And if that's the case I wonder if I should just get one of those Bama tuners first along with a cold air intake..?
