escape power loss

The car starts fine but after 3-4 minutes driving it starts to bog down until it almost stalls.
temp guage is only in the middle. Changed thermistat didn't fix any ideas?

Hi Tom, no. the light isn't on. I am going to change the fuel filter since it is used I have no idea if it was ever changed plus they are cheap. its my kids car and he's almost run out of gas a few times.

I have a 2005 while driving it hesitates as mash the gas like it's going to cut off what causes that
