My 2003 expedition has started running really rough and I smell exhaust fumes. What's my problem?

Your first post has three answers. I would install new plugs and check to see if you have any bad coils.

make sure it isn't something simple like a vacuum leak with the PCV valve or hose/elbow. You don't mention any noises like ticking, so hopefully it isn't an exhaust leak.
