Depending on the rate you are loosing oil, you should be able to get it to the shop. More than likely it is just an seal or gasket that would need to be replaced. Just make sure it is full of oil before driving it.

Check the oil filter and gasket as they can leak big time, especially when the old oil filter gasket is not removed when changing the filter. Having 2 gaskets on there will cause a big leak.
