Electrical Issues on Ford Explorer

I had my battery cables replaced and now when I take the key out of the
ignition, if my lights are on, the *ding, ding* noise doesn't turn on letting me
know my lights are still on, the radio will not turn off and dome lights do not
turn off.  Now I come out to a dead battery when I turn the car off if it is left
for more than an hour.  It's like everything is not shutting off properly when
the key is taken out of the ignition.  This didn't happen before my battery
cables were replaced.  Is this related? Thanks for any feedback!

Some makes and models, if battery voltage is lost, some vehicle modules may have to relearn or be reprogrammed. I don't know if your modules will relearn on their own? May have to be reprogrammed? Sometimes I tell people to use a memory saver when they go to disconnect or remove the battery. Some radios will go into theft lock if battery voltage is lost, it won't work. If your problem is some of the modules and theft lock for radio, I can't help you. You may need to talk to service department at local dealership?

i have the same issue but not because of the battery. my radio wont shut off. everytime i go into my car the 'power saver' thing is up on my dashboard. i think it will eventually kill the battery because it wont shut off.
