Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I have a 2006 ford five hundred limited awd. The
check engine light ison also the ABS light . the
wrench light pops on five mins after i start driving.
The car acts like it doesn't want to accelerate and
it jerks from time to time. It sounds like a freaking
old truck lawnmower etc when im pressing on the
gas pedal. I took it to autozone and they tested it
printed out my paper work and rhe parts suggested
was a pcv valve, tube & grommet. I just want to
know if i pay to get rhose replaced will my car be
better ? I love that car lol plz help

I have a 2005 Ford Five Hundred Limited, when the check engine light came on the code indicated oxygen/exhaust problem. I replaced the part they have suggested and the car ran fine. However, in your case you also have the ABS light and the wrench light pops up indicating a mechanical problem. I would start by replacing the three parts, reset the computer and see what happens. NO, no one can guarantee that the car will run perfect, if other parts are required they must be replaced as well.

the wrench may be a maintenance schedule thing and can be turned off , go on line or look in owners manual
Places like Autozone are not mechanics. They can do some really basic stuff as far as reading OBD codes and suggesting parts, but that doesn't guarantee your car will run better. That said, replacing a gunked up PCV would do wonders for any car.
Thank you to you three im goin in to get this stuff changed out today hopefully something good comes out of it .. I will update
Same problem on mine,, it was the throttle body, replaced it a year ago and not a hiccup since.
