My Honda Civic LX 2006 Wont Start

Asked by mmjmmd Oct 31, 2014 at 09:02 AM about the 2006 Honda Civic LX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Six weeks ago, my problem started.
Week One: My Civic wouldn't start. I jumped it and took it in for a new battery. The
battery was 4 years old and I simply decided to replace it.  Week Two: Wouldn't start. I
jumped it and took it in and they replaced the alternator.  Week Four: Wouldn't start. I
towed it in and the they replaced an ignition switch.  Week Five: Wouldn't start. I took it
in and they replaced the starter.  Week Six: Wont start.  And the NEW battery has been
soaked nearly dry.  The Honda DEALER wants to get rid of me. PLEASE HELP ME!
What is slowly soaking the battery? HELP?

Do you mean by saying 'soaked dry' the electrolytes, or the battery acid is disappearing..? Or do you mean just runs out of power? You might have a parasitic drain, something is draining the battery that's not supposed to. If you are a DIY person, try the link I will post at the end, to maker it easy to hyperlink. If you don't have a mulit-meter, or simply don't want to mess with ti yourself, take it back and tell them to test for parasitic drain. http://www.ericthecarguy.com/faq/solving-automotive-electrical-problems?start=3

Why in the world would they want to get rid of you? The mechanic just bought a new bass boat with in the last 5 weeks.

There are some things that will draw a little power normally. A clock, 0.02 amps, (miniscule) and security system.

Thanks Mark..good evening. 6:30 AM here. I had Quasimodo up for a few hours and they deleted it. I am really in to dragsters, born and raised in Pomona Calif, home of Winternationals and lots of big-time drag races. Back in the day..12 years old I could sneak in, it is only a mile from my old family home

Ahhhhhh for the good old days. :-) Today we watched a NASCAR rebroadcast of Martinsville.I have heheard that drag racing is big in Australia. We get sport stations from there but so far its only been championship darts. Do you know if I have the drag racing in Australia?
