Normal, coolant if flowing back to expansion tank. check level to make sure it's not overfilled. only to cold level mark.
Bubbling sounds can be boiling due to a low ratio of anti-freeze to water. I would also check the coolant level and make sure it is not low and that you don't have air in the system.

It is definitely the coolant in the engine boiling. Mine is doing the same thing, same sound. I might need a radiator cap. They actually have a gasket-ee thing on them that seals the system. If it isn't sealing properly it causes hot air to get trapped and a couple other things. Getting the air out of the system is called 'bleeding' it. I bought my crusier used, they had just put a cap that was to generic to fit firmly and steam would come out, and I found the old one and with that there is definitely the the bubbling fluid noise, but not with the steam leaking cap. I've been reading information online and that is where I learned about faulty radiator caps. I was thinking blown head gasket, faulty thermostat, ect... So tomorrow a new cap and I will share the results.
