My 2005 Thunderbird check engine light has been on for months. It has been to shop over and over. They have replaced the battery, changed some sort of sensor, the gas cap is tight and I filled the tank completely and also had the oil changed. They keep saying the scanner says it needs a new map sensor but they then checked with the local Ford dealer who said the car doesn't have a map sensor. What's up? 5 Answers

If I start it, and hold the gas for a few minutes once it turns over, it stays running. But if it sits for a few hours, I have the same problem again. Any ideas?

I have a 66 Tbird with a bad set of lifters so I just replace them. I started it up and it ran great. After I replaced the vacuum lines, covers, etc., it started back missing on three cylinders. 4 Answers
