Battery hookup

So when hooking up my car battery I noticed
two other smaller wires that need to be
hooked up to the two bolt posts I think but I
don't know forsure. I do know when i don't
hook those up my vehicle won't start it just
cranks and cranks. I touched one of the
wires to the positive terminal and a dinging
went off in my cab with no keysin the
ignition... Can somebody please help me by
telling me how and where to hook these
twowires up? Thank you for your time.

Was the door open when the "dinging" was sounding?

this diagram is all I have for power distribution. There might be another way to track. With those two wires disconnected, don't let them touch anything, If the engine cranks good but won't start, have a helper crank it, while check for spark at the plugs. If no spark, check primary voltage to ignition coil, use a test lite. It goes hot with the key on, red wire with lite green tracer. My wiring diagrams for your model year, isn't that great.
