Would a wire. from the plugs cause a 91 GMC 1500 350 motor, touching the manifold cause my truck to stall or act like it's not getting gas
I have been having problems with my truck, a 91 GMC Serra 1500 3.7 motor.
acts like it's not getting gas and will stall out. I have had a fuel filter replace,
was told that was the problem first time i drove it and had to give it gas to get
up a hill it started the same thing so i had it completely tuned up,
plugs, wires, distribitor cap, rotoary button replace and the machine said he
didn't know if that would fix the problem only thing he found was one wire was
touching the manifold, that the plugs and all the wires were good. My
question is would the wire touching the manifold cause this issue, It was
drove today and no issue of it stalling out. If it happens again i don't know
what else to replace, i have had so many parts replace over the past yr by
mechanics telling me that was the problem, i don't know who to believe.I read
all the answers on this site and i have replace throttle and one other part i
saw a suggestion, No mechanic has ever tested the fuel pump for psi, should
that be my next move? I am praying this fixes the issue. I am the original
owner and i have taken good care of my truck, but it's so old the newer
mechanics can't work on it so i am limited where i live an who can work on it.
Any advice on that wire touching the manifold would be appreciated.
