i have no power no voltage everything is dead like someone has taken the battery out

i was driving my 1993 gmc sierra when everything just died engine cut off and everything was dead no power no voltage like it has no battery. what could be the problem?

Possibly the alternator not operating properly and battery got ran down trying to keep all electronics going. I would clean and tighten all battery connection and charge the battery. When it starts test the alternator. If its not putting out around 14.5 volts then its faulty and needs to be replaced.
