Remove the windshield wiper arms and the cowling, then clear out leaves and debris. Then run hose in the channel and see where it drains to. In my 93 conversion van the water channeled to the front of the wheel well and below the door hinge. Inside the foot rest area we peeled back the wet carpet and could feel water deipping slowly in around a plastic grate and the screws holding it on. We could see a lot of debris in a small rectangular opening in the chassis behind the door hinge. We flushed repeatedly from the top and dug out debris from the door side with a bent coat hanger. Although water flooded out, no debris came out at the front of the wheel well. After many, many, many flushes with the hose and with a 2.5 gallon watering can, debris stopped coming out. Hopefully that will fix the problem. We will be putting a dry towel in the footwell and checking after upcoming rains. We plan to put nylon mesh under the air intake in the cowl, to preven debris feom collecting there in the future.
I've got the same problem with my 1994 extended cab. I couldn't find any leaks around the cowling, no leak around the windshield gasket or around the passenger door. Rain water gets in around the upper floorboard on the passenger side. Did you find the solution? Thanks Bruce

No. I sold the truck and told the buyer about the leak before selling it.
