1994 1500 sierra vibration when shifting at high speeds

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
when driving at constant speed over 40 the truck shakes when downshifting to maintain speed. carrier bearing was loose so i shimmed it to see if that was a fix. not as bad but still doing it. is this a possible driveshaft problem?

bad u joints.on drive shaft,or out of ballance tires,or warped rotors.bent wheel.
ive changed u joints and carrier bearing. all driveline vibration and rumble is gone. no tire vibration at any speed or when braking. still have the shudder when shifting in and out of overdrive. feels like it starts in motor and travels through truck. maybe a spun or damaged harmonic balancer? the truck was hit in front and repaired. i did not own it before wreck so i dont know if this was a problem before or as a result of the wreck. any thoughts?
ok now it sounds like the lock out in TQ is not working,if HB was damaged it would not run.how does it do in drive,no overdrive.
it does it in drive as well but only at high rpm- above 3000
the center support is pressed on if you shimed it your stub is shot ujoint failer is also a thiong to look at textbook speeds are between 40 to 65 for vibration

I have a 1994 gmc pick-up. when in park the truck runs fine. but as soon as I put it in drive the hole truck shakes like really bad and gets worse when speeding up. what could that be?
