Question type: Maintenance & Repair

1996 GMC Sierra. I am replacing the shifter cable. I need help with the
connection underneath the dash. I don't see where it connects. When I pull the
shift lever down, I see a "post" moving in and out but it looks like I need it to
move "left to right".
