Truck won't start

Asked by Sonny Apr 12, 2017 at 06:22 PM about the 1999 GMC Sierra 1500 SL 4WD Extended Cab SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

No power to the fuel pump/ injectors. I've
ran a hot wire to the fuel pump from the
battery and it turned the fuel pump on and
built pressure in the lines but would not
start. Replaced fuel pump and top wires
for giggles and still nothing. Tried re-
learning the ignition l. Nothing. Help please

Would that make my fuel pump not turn on? That's the issue, fuel pump won't activate upon when I hit the key.

New battery, fuel pump, wires i top of fuel pump. All good, ground wire for front under cab was good no bad looking wires visabke.
