Sierra 2500 Horn Not Functioning

Asked by Jeff Jun 13, 2016 at 06:07 PM about the 2002 GMC Sierra 2500 4 Dr STD 4WD Extended Cab SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The horn in my 2002 Sierra 2500 was making a
soft, squealing sound when I pushed the button
and now it has stopped working completely. I have
seen some stuff saying that it could be a corroded
contact in the steering wheel or it might be that the
horn is bad. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

I've checked enough horns gone bad start there unplug it and apply 12 volts to the horn with the proper device.
