smell the exhaust...pull a sparkplug these two things....well I must confess these two things are I generally consider...OKAY two things...the smell of the interior...the cabin filter has not been changed and is filled with socks and pizza delivery scent...upholstery is just fine or showing tearing of seams and wear...the brake pedal, clutch pedal and accelator should still have some meat left on them~ if it runs like you say, would have it inspected....prior accident mends, cv boot leakage tie rod ends....control arm bushings....spend $100 and have the 26 point inspection done...they will check the health of your motor (as much as can be done without a dynamometer)....have it inspected before you start plunkin' down the dough~
Do you advise buying the vehicle?
Check with owners on Audiworld.com and Audizine.com - it might be due for a timing belt and that would cost as much as the asking price.
The only problem is i cant afford a $2k timing belt change

the belt is perhaps $80 (if that) the tensioner and bearing are probably~

2 grand seems rich...I'm sorry, but I'd get it done for $75/hour from the local shop here (only takes ca$h.)~
No, I would not buy the Audi- no,no,no- buy the BMW
You may be buying a great deal on a car that costs you only $2500, but you will find your car in the shop for the most part of its remaining life. No doubt, it's a good looking car, but it's high mileage car for an Audi, don't fall for the beauty that's only skin deep!
