Engine turns over no start.

Asked by Mike Apr 13, 2017 at 01:22 AM about the 2003 GMC Yukon XL 1500 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Ran the fuel pretty low but my warning signing never came on so I figured I'd
get gas in the morning.  well 24 hours has past and it won't start, then the low
fuel light came on, "what da....?". I added a gallon of gas but still nothing. I
hear the fuel pump running right before I turn the key, indicating that it's
working, right? how do I go about checking this? where do I start?

CAN YOU FIND THE FUEL INLET AND CRACK IT OPEN TO TRY AND HELP PRIME IT? AND REPLACE FUEL FILTER !

Thanks, Kelly. I will try if I can't get thing going on. ATM I will try what you say. I will add a couple more gallons and I will see what happens. Thank you both!

Thanks ATM! Your advice worked well. I added a couple more gallona of fuel and primed it as you told me to and wouldn't cha know it, it worked!! Thanks again!
