2000 b5 a4 1.8t shuts off at low rpms or while driving and sometimes won't start back up.

Upgraded turbo and fmic. Does it need to
be tuned for it to run right and also it idles
real rough and just shuts off. Help please.

Get the codes read to see where the problem lies. Upgrading the turbo without a tune will not shut the engine down. It won't run to it's full potential but it will run. If you know someone with a VAGCOM cable, you can get a real good look at the system functions.

Check in at AudiWorld.com and Audizine.com to see if someone with a diagnostic cable is near you.

I got the codes pulled cuz I am a mechanic at pep boys but I am not formiliar with Audi. Most the codes had to do with the bank 2 O2 sensor missing cuz I have a straight pipe on it.

With a bigger turbo the air/fuel mix could be off. Need more gas with the more air.
