Based on age and mileage a transmission change is the wise repair. Call around price modules and the labor be ready for the fee... these A4 transmissions can be purchased with lower mileage for $600-1000 Were just about to the point of rebuild transmission shops going away, with Remanufactures taking over and salvage yard (online) availability, the typical low quality rebuilding shop is done.
