Could this be trash in gas.

That is certainly a possibility but some ignition modules have been known to get hot and shut down vehicle and start working again when it cools down. The best thing to do is to catch the vehicle when it shuts down and test for fuel and spark.
My 1994 Prelude is doing that. The mechanics couldn't figure it out, but think it is the ECU.

Your vehicle could also be vapor locking have vehicle put up on lift and and check to see if heat shield that protects the gas tank from exhaust heat is not missing or rusted off which they are known to do.
Cindy, did you find an answer? I have a 93 and it sat for about 18mo. New battery had a trickle charger on it last few days and as soon as it turns over, it dies. Curious if it's old fuel too.
