My 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe was hit in front. My question is when it was fixed the black rubber line on the hood wasn't put in even. Do I really need that rubber thing on my hood?

Not certain if it is absolutely necessary for anything other than looks or possibly to keep out some water infiltration, but either way, take it back to the body shop and demand they fix it properly. You pay to have the cars restored to its condition prior to the accident!
