Check engine light on? If so get the code read.

Go to a parts store like autozone O'rielys etc and have them put a code reader on it anyway to check for codes to start out

if your only getting 3-4000 rpm your cat under your pass. door is clogged i just put a pipe in place temp. and it red lines with no prob.it was so clogged i dont know how it even ran.RICH
