Question type: Maintenance & Repair
Starts well, runs good for a short while, but after 8 or 10 minutes over heats, warning lights come on, up over 250 degrees. I have replaced thermostat and checked it again. Suggestions?

I used to have a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited with the same issue. After I replaced the alternator the problem went away
does it over heat at a steady speed ? 50 mph..check for a rad hose collapsing..fan/s off.rad need to be serviced rodded out?
Negative, I get in and start it up, head for somewhere and w/i 8 minutes it's up to 250 and check gauges lights are on.
I had the same problem after I change the water pump and thermostat. To get it to stop running hot take the bleeder valve off while the car is cool (that is located where the top holes hook up) place a funnel in the whole flush all the air pockets out. You will know all the air pockets are out when no bubbles come up through the funnel. That will bring heat to your car and keep it from running hot. Just solve my problem and it runs fine.
