Driveshaft question

Asked by Adam Sep 28, 2013 at 09:06 AM about the 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a '99 grand Cherokee limited.
It has a nasty noise coming from the
driveshaft in the front.   I think that I
need to replace the cv joint in it.  First
can I remove the driveshaft and still
have the vehicle drivable?  It is full
time 4 wheeldrive.  Also do I have to
replace the whole shaft or just the
joint?
