Any brake problem is serious. Life and death serious. I do not mean to scare you, but may I ask if the 'locking up" is happening in the front or rear brakes? Let's start with that, okay?

it was the front but ifound out the problem the brake piston seized up but i just went buy new calipers and now its all better
supermegatronitron I have checked in every couple hours to see wassup, I am truly happy to hear you got to the cause and remedy
I'm gonna buy a Cherokee Laredo 1996 and the back brakes locks up in a while the previous owner its starting should I buy it and what's the problem with it thanks
Drum brakes can lock up. If that 96 has anti-lock this should not be happening. I would replace the shoes or at least adjust them.
