Engine fan

Asked by Sally May 15, 2018 at 10:52 PM about the 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Shut off engine went into store, came back
out to find a fan is still running under the
hood, not the fan behind radiator. Can't
locate the source. Had to disengage battery
once home to get it to stop after waiting half
an hour.

I am wanting to know what other fan I might be looking for. Air is circulating up on left side of the engine when I raised the hood

First check coolant level if ok sounds like a bad coolant temperature sensor.
