2000 jeep grand cherokee starting issues

My 2000 jgc ran great the suddenly started
bogging down at the stop light then dying,
sometimes starts back up if u give it gas other
times doesnt. Changed fuel pump. It ran for a day
and there was a humming sound coming from fuel
pump area, now it just wont start. Any
recommendations or advice would be greatly
appreciated

Don't forget to change your fuel filter too. The filter also contains the fuel pressure regulator. Clogged filters can work the fuel pump to the point of failure. If that doesn't work, test for about 55 psi at the fuel injector rail. There is a Schrader valve there to hook up a gauge. Next, scan for fault codes but I think it is just a fuel problem.
