2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee, heater and A/C

Asked by Sage Mar 28, 2021 at 10:53 AM about the 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Just purchased a 2002 Jeep Grand
Cherokee. Before driving off with it,
seller told me to absolutely never run
the A/C and heater at the same time.
Mechanically, why would this be?

In all vehicles you can, but it's obvious the seller was warning you the Jeep you just bought has a specific issue. Try running both, I suspect the vehicle will stall. But you can pay to have a mechanic look at it. I couldn't tell you specifically what to look for.
