Speedometer not working

Asked by Dian Apr 27, 2018 at 10:26 AM about the 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The speedometer in my '04 Grand Cherokee is not working. We have replaced
both the speed sensors in the transmission and all 4 of the wheel speed
sensors. Replacing the wheel sensors did make the brake and ABS lights go
off, but, the speedometer only moves when you reach 50 mph. After 50 mph it
seems to track fine. I.E. reads 5 mph when going 55.

ehh...sounds like the instrument cluster..unfortunately there is no true way to test if its faulty. Just keep a constant eye on it. If you see anything else going funky with your lights, speedometer, Tach..etc. Its your cluster
