Jeep is stubborn!

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
My 06 jeep is stubborn! We got her and she need a TON of
work. Have done it. Have replaced the crack shaft senor. It
came up again. It stopped starting and dieing on me while
driving. If I was driving it would come back on no problem.
If I was stopped it would take a few mins to start again. We
have replaced most of the things on her. So we are at a
stuck point as to where to look. Help me find a direction!

Any codes? It's not unusual to get a new defective electrical part, I would back track on the things you've done. Have you checked the fuel filter? Also the fuel pressure regulator could be leaking. If you can get a fuel pressure gauge you could do a fuel pressure leak down test to check injector or regulator.

Still says crank shaft senor. That's why we are at a lose. We can smell gas. We have been looking at everything we can online and are willing to try just about anything! But if we cant figure it out soon sadly I will have to get rid of her.

Mike is correct to confirm the problem with a code scan. If it still comes up crankshaft position sensor (P0320), then maybe you got a defective part like Mike said. Also note that the part has to be inserted in that hole deep enough to touch the flywheel, then back it out 0.030 inches to provide clearance. That gap 0.030 is like the diameter of a tooth pick. I know it's in a tough spot on the six cylinder engine.

We will look at it today. Thank you! We are about to see if maybe its electrical as it has had other issues that we thought we fixed that where. She was NOT taken care of before we got her. And ran into the dirt.
