2006 Grand cherokee 5.7 engine swap

I'm looking into buying a 2006 5.7 grand Cherokee
limited with a blown engine and I have a 2005 3.7
grand and I'm wondering if the 2005 3.7 engine can
go in the 2006 without major issues. Only
difference I found was the 2005 has a quadra Trac
1 and the 2006 has the quadra Trac 2. Both 5
speeds.
Any info is appreciated

You will need the ECU from the 3.7 to control the shift points and fuel injection timing. The 3.7 uses a different transmission than the 5.7. The 5.7 uses the 545RFE transmission. I personally wouldn't do the swap. More trouble than it's worth.
