Audi A4 2.8 Quattro no start

Asked by i1600 Sep 12, 2016 at 06:21 PM about the 1997 Audi A4 2.8 quattro Sedan AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

my 1997  Audi A4 2.8 Quattro will not start, I see a OBD II for engine speed
sensor but there is no engine speed sensor on the bell housing, drivers side,
or on the engine block, drivers side, with the crank shaft position sensor. The
engine will crank but will not spark and the fuel injectors will not pulse. I
changed the computer. I have checked the fuses too.

obd only tells you surface issues. Try having the car scanned with some rosstech software instead it should be more ... intuitive.
