I have a 92 cutless Ciera 2.5. Was getting 28 mpg. Suddenly only getting 14 mpg. Would the fuel pressure regulator course this to happen. Car only has 57,000 miles on it. Thanks

Mileage doesn't matter its old 24 years! When was the last time the 02 sensor was changed its probably not going into closed loop operation. Walk around and use a cloth to wipe inside the tailpipe look for fluffy black shoot (rich) fuel mixture. Also connect a gauge to check your fuel pressure its possible a fuel regulator is causing a rich condition or just unplug the vacuum line on the regulator if its dry no fuel the regulators is likely fine.
