car keeps overheating.. cant figure out what it is.. radiator hose blew and i replaced it but i had put the wrong coolant in but i flushed it and it was just a tint of green left in there so was just tired of doing it lol. but i filled it back up with the dex cool. and it is overheating now. hoses are very firm as if it were presuureized but seems like it is blocked somewhere. if i open the cap and realease the pressure the car will cool down to about normal but once i close it up and start driving again the car over heats again.

Replace the thermostat and see if it improves. While your at it replace the rad cap too, those should be replaced every two years.

If you have no thermostat and you have excessive pressure you are looking at head gaskets, buy a block tester, it looks like a big turkey type baster, you put in the fluid that comes with the tester, place it in the overflow opening (because you don't have a rad cap) if the fluid changes colour you have exhaust getting in your cooling system, this is a faulty head gasket. The wrong antifreeze will not cause over heating

hmmm hope this isnt it ive already replaced the head gasket before. but i do have white smoke so this could be it =\ if so im most likely going to junk the car.
