2000 Pontiac grand am starts but dies

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2000 grand am that was in a minor
front end accident since said accident the
car will start but die after about 2 seconds.   
Security light is not flashing . I have tried
disconnecting the battery after 10 min or
so  reconnect the battery then turn ignition
switch to on/run and let sit for 20 min or
longer but security light never goes out
resulting in no results. Any one got any
ideas ????  Thanks y'all. Lol

Air bags didn't go off that's how minor the accident was.
