Would cancelling the cruise control on car
affect it at all??

I meant as in the module for it beside the serpentine belt just trying to make space for an extra battery

If you want another battery I would install it in the trunk and leave things alone.

Trunk would be the best place to install an extra battery. Finding space under the hood limits your ability to mount and protect it properly. A little more wiring but well worth it.
