2005 Pontiac Grand Am 2.2 L Will start sometimes and then sometimes just don't want to start it all changed fuel pump no luck still does the same thing changed key and ignition still same thing?

If your battery is 4 years old or older it's time for a replacement.check all cables/terminals for corrosion and tightness,including grounds.

The battery is a brand new interstate 2017

I just checked all cables terminals and grounds took all the grounds off took a wire brush wire brush the ends of them put them back together starts OK now but I will find out later thank you for all the answers so far so good

Yesterday I made sure all my grounds on my motor of my 2005 grand am 2.2 L make sure they are all tight all clean same problem this morning went out to my car started it went to work went to go to lunch no start no start no start then all of a sudden it started again! Will a faulty body control module not let your car start and not throw a check engine light ?

well, it sure sounds like a starter issue,did you replace that?

It turns over all the time,it just don't start all the time.

Oh,got it now,it sounds like a fuel delivery issue. possibly fuel pump on it's way out.

Change the fuel pump yesterday same thing turns over just don't start all the time.

One other thing would be the fuel pressure regulator, have you checked to see if the rail holds fuel pressure?

My question is will a body control module not let your car start? And if so how do I check if the body control module is good or not without a check engine light on?

Have the dealer ship replace the "Passlock" anti theft sensor to the fuel pump. They go bad from oxidation over time, and after the fuel pump will disengage. Had mine done, no more problem and about $150.00 from the dealerships.
