Try jumping vehicle again with another vehicle but this time leave cables on for a few minutes with the vehicle that is jumping at idle this will help charge the battery of the vehicle you are trying to jump.

The battery could be flat out done. That might be why it was dead when you got home and it might be so badly deteriorated internally that even jumping won't start it. Take the battery out and have it charged and load tested, that will tell you if its time for a new one.
